Football fans are some of the most passionate supporters of any sport in the entire world.
While 2015 wasn't exactly a great year for the game's global reputation thanks to the corruption scandal that has engulfed the sport's governing body FIFA, the fans were as wild and passionate as ever before.
To show their love to their favourite teams, lots of fans this year created huge banners and flags, showing their colours and some funny, touching, and heartwarming slogans.

Fans of Napoli, one of Italy's oldest and most famous clubs, unveiled this enormous, bizarre banner depicting Hannibal Lecter before their Europa League semi-final against Ukrainian Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk. Unfortunately, they didn't qualify for the final. We couldn't work out what "Magnamancill" means, but it appears to be a popular hashtag among Napoli fans.

Fans of FC Parma had a horrible time in 2015. The side went bankrupt in March with more than £250 million of debts and staff unpaid for months. The fans lost none of their passion though and created this huge banner after the club was reborn in a much lower league, in July.

Football is not exactly the most popular sport in Canada, with most Canadians favouring ice hockey or the country's national summer sport, lacrosse. But in recent years, the sport has gained popularity thanks to the rise of the MLS. Now, supporters groups, like Toronto FC's Inebriatti, are some of the most passionate fans on earth.
